Goes beautifully with
Pyrite, in plain facts
Pyrite is a brassy iron mineral that often grows in almost perfect cubes.
A mineral made of iron and sulfur.
Its gold color fooled miners, but it's harder, lighter in color and far cheaper than gold.
Much harder than real gold.
From pyr, because it gives off sparks when struck against steel.
Its sharp cubes grow that way in the rock. Nobody cuts them.
Damp air can tarnish pyrite. Keep it dry and dust it with a soft brush.
It started with a fake rose quartz.
We once paid for rose quartz online. What arrived was a piece of painted glass in a plastic bag, with nothing to say what it was or where it came from.
